Other things worthy of note today are:
* Having had my creative side prodded by the poetry challenge set by friend Tricia on Monday
* The launch tomorrow of my friend Rachel's bookshop venture 'Not Just Words', which opens with a fundraising day of music in aid of our local hospice
* My sensible mother (she knows why)
Have a good weekend, folks.
Celebrate the Small Things is a blog hop. Visit Lexa's Blog for the rules, and then post every Friday about something you're grateful for that week. Originated by VikLit) and co-hosted by L.G. Keltner @ Writing Off The Edge and Tonja Drecker @ Kidbits Blog
Hope all goes well at the opening of the bookshop - love that idea!
ReplyDeleteThe event raised nearly £500, which was a brilliant effort by all those involved.
DeleteThe rain sounds very refreshing after so much heat. Yay for poetry challenges, bookshop launch, and a smart mother. :)
ReplyDeleteSmashwords' tax pmt is killing me too. I only net 25% from anything I sell because of Smashwords 10% fee, Paypal 33% fee, and the damned US gov't taking 30%.
I'm very pleased with my decision not to go with my friends to a festival at the weekend. They all got soaked.
DeleteLet's bring on the rain.
ReplyDeleteYes, but if we could have it a bit warmer...
