Do you like what you see?

Well, do you? Or at least are you intrigued? I've posted this picture as a blatant plug for my other blog, called Yoga? Here's what I'm thinking, which I have restarted today after nearly a year away from it. I know you're not all going to be interested, but if you do have a moment to hop over and say hello I'd be pleased to see you - and there's more pictures!

Namaste.

Onwards!

The decorations are down and we have eaten up the orts, save for the last few chocolates, which are currently being despatched by number two son and his girlfriend. The post-Christmas jigsaw is ready on the dining table. Order has been restored.

I've posted on my other blog (Yoga? Here's what I'm thinking) my reasons for not setting myself any New Year resolutions. Why set myself up to fail? However, I am going to try to lead a more considered life this year, by which I mean living a bit more mindfully (and I use the word here in the general sense of paying attention, rather than simply doing stuff on automatic pilot). Whether I shall be able to wean myself  off eating my lunch in front of the TV remains to be seen.

However, I'm absolutely determined to write more short stories this year. I have spent some time today working through Morgen Bailey's online course Entering Writing Competitions, so there should be no stopping me!

A new venture

Two entirely separate snippets for you.

First, I've noticed that my neighbours have taken their barbecue out of hibernation and I expect that over the Bank Holiday weekend the air will be filled with the aroma of sizzling burgers. I really don't see the attraction. It's not just the ever-present risk of food-poisoning, it's also the sheer hassle of having to bring all the food and utensils out of that purpose-built room we call a kitchen and into the garden. I just don't get it. My husband says I'm odd. He says everyone likes barbecues except me. Then again, I'm also the only person I know who can't see the point of open-top sports cars.

Second, despite the title of this blog, I have decided I need a separate outlet for my more particular yoga musings, so I have this morning published the first post on my new blog: 'Yoga? Here's what I'm thinking'. Please take a look, if you have a moment: comments and feedback welcome - and please share it with anyone you think might be interested. I'm planning to post something a couple of times a month. Thanks.
