Goodbye, February

Why not join us in Celebrating the Small Things? This is a bloghop instigated by VikLit on her blog 'Scribblings of an Aspiring Author'. Details are  here.

Top of the list of celebrations for me today has got to be the last day of February. Good grief, what a dreary month it's been. Bring on March!

I'm also celebrating the installation of my new kitchen door. Some women get excited at the prospect of acrylic nail extensions. Not me, I'm all about the DIY at the moment. But look at it: isn't it splendid?

Have a lovely weekend, everyone.

(PS Sorry about the huge gap at the top of this post. Don't know how it got there; don't know how to get rid of it.)

  1. That is a nice door. I love March, mostly because my birthday is on the 13th. Also, warmer weather (or snow, depending)

  5. It must have been a bad month if all you had to celebrate was a kitchen door, Julia!

  6. I love the installation of anything new. In fact, that always calls for champagne at my house.

  7. I love DIY, Julia. I've always put the shelves up and done the decorating. I've even fitted secondary double-glazing, but I've never hung a door! I, too, get excited over things being improved at home rather than doing my nails. Women who do DIY are never too bothered about their nails. We can only have reasonably short nails when typing, too.

    1. It's strange. Sometimes I post something that I think is interesting and no one comments. The mention of a new door has elicited an unexpectedly large response!
