Instead, I'll just tell you this. Coming out of yoga on Tuesday into the pouring rain, a couple of us grumbled about the cold. One woman put us all in our place: 'I don't mind it,' she said. 'I'm just glad to be alive.' Will that do for today?
Have a good weekend, folks.
Celebrate the Small Things is a blog hop co-hosted by

That's all you need to put things into perspective isn't it...
ReplyDeleteMy celebration of small things is, the kindness of strangers. Horribly lost in a strange town, I pulled up outside a cycle shop, went in and asked directions.
The man in the shop, sat me down, made me a cup of coffee, let me use his loo and then went through step by step instructions on how to get to where I was going...I can tell you, after a two hour drive, it was very welcome!
Have a good weekend Julia...
What a lovely story, Maria. I hope the drive was worth it.
DeleteHow exciting! Now I want to know what they are!
ReplyDeleteWatch this space, Wendy.
DeleteOh, you like to keep us in suspense, Julia! I like that positive response to the cold.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rosemary. Update coming later today.
DeleteThat's a good way to think! lol I heard on a podcast recently that if you tell yourself "I am lucky" every day, eventually your brain will believe it. So, all week whenever I had some minor mishap, I would say, "I am lucky, I am lucky..." If anything, it made me feel better. Haha
ReplyDeleteI've changed the welcome message on my phone to read 'Be happpy!' It makes me smile every time I switch it on.
