So I didn't win the CheerReader competition or the most recent Emerald flash fiction comp. Hey ho; maybe next time.

Kettering Camerata in full flow

Had a splendidly musical day on Saturday, rehearsing all afternoon and then performing with the Camerata in the evening - Vivaldi's Gloria and Jenkins' The Armed Man. One or two tricky moments, but I think the fact that we were supported by some excellent musicians carried the day. And as one of our tenors wryly observed: 'At least with Jenkins, at least with Jenkins, if you make a mistake, a mistake, a mistake, you can rely, rely, on there being a repeat, on there being a repeat, so you can have another go, have another go.'  Thank you to friends and family who came along to support us.
