We went to Twywell Hills and Dales, which is a site of some 135 acres that takes its name from the abandoned quarry workings that give the place its undulating landscape. Yes, it a manmade country park, but it feels like the 'proper' countryside (at least to a townie like me).
By the time we got back to the car we were very muddy, but the blood was moving more swiftly and our mood had lifted.

So glad you had a wonderful walk! Walking can be just the thing to lighten a mood, no matter the weather.
ReplyDeleteOh... lovely area, mud and all! I need to get back to my hiking trail.
ReplyDeleteLove the boots photo. (smile)
Tyrean and Dixie, thanks for taking the time to comment.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like a day out hiking! By the way, I answered your "Ask Me Anything" question over at my blog today.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debra. I've had a look at the answer and the answer to that!
DeleteWow those are reaL mud. I like hiking, walking. It does boost mood and promise a good sleep. Glad you had a great one.
ReplyDeleteSounds great - I always find a walk in the countryside or seaside lifts my mood.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, psychelyn and Rosemary. Better than Prozac!
ReplyDeleteA fine walk on a misty, foggy day....and two sets of boots to prove it :) A breath of fresh air and a scenic walk are always worth the effort!
ReplyDeleteMy boots are SO old, but SO comfy. They're starting to give a bit here and there, and it will be a sad day when I have to replace them.
