Wednesday Whimsy

Three completely unrelated items for you today.
  • This is what happens if you forget to pick your radishes. Aren't they pretty?
  • From the annual conference of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport comes this gem. People under 20 years old automatically push a doorbell with their thumb, while those over 20 who use their index finger. Why? Because continued use of their mobile’s keypad for texting and online shopping has taught young people to use their thumb far more. So smartphones have already started to affect us physically as well as socially!
  •  I really enjoyed my FutureLearn online course 'Start Writing Fiction'. If you fancy having a go, it is being run again on 27th October. More details here. The eight-week course is free - but prepared to be offered a printed 'Statement of Participation' for £24!

  1. I'm sorry but I can't help myself asking if "picking your radishes" is a euphemism ?

  3. Hope this isn't duplicated but the first seemed to disappear! I like those pretty radish flowers and it's good to see so many free online courses these days.
