Time to celebrate

If it's Friday it must be time to Celebrate The Small Things.

  1. Someone else has downloaded my story 'Linda's Lucky Break' from Ether Books.
  2. Managed to get a tricky proofreading job finished on time.
  3. One son has a new job and the other has been given more hours.
  4. I have use of my legs. I'm not being flippant, but having tried wheelchair basketball at the weekend, I have newfound respect for anyone who can get around in a wheelchair.
 What are you celebrating?

  1. Certainly good things to celebrate, particularly the last one; we tend take things for granted a lot, until we don't have them anymore.

  6. It sounds as though you have a lot to celebrate with your sons and your proofreading! And the legs. I broke my little toe once - and I developed the most profound gratitude for the fact that I am not in a wheelchair and have both my feet. (I also learned that if I am planning to kick my younger brother, it is wisest to wear heavy boots, lest I break my other little toe!)

    1. I have a brother seven years younger than me. When he was a toddler and was tearing round the house, I used to climb into his playpen to keep out of his way.
